This place is great! I moved here over a year ago from Illinois and didn't have the opportunity to take a tour so I was very nervous. I was looking for a place on the first floor or with an elevator for my dog with a bad leg. I was relieved when I found this place!
I am renting a storyteller and love the quality of the apartment. My bathroom has plenty of cabinet space which I was really lacking at my old apartment. Water pressure is great and grateful for hot water.
I was worried the bedroom... would be slightly too small, but I can fit my queen sized bed, a large dresser, a vanity, and a tall thin dresser. Also, I am pumped about having a washer and dryer in my walk in closet.
I am in love with the kitchen! There is so much space to food prep and keep my appliances on the counter top. There is plenty of storage and I love the buffet countertop.
The living room is large enough for a couch, tv, computer desk, and some bookshelves which is what I brought with me! I love having wooden floors, especially with a pet.
We have always had great management here that are available when you need them and extremely helpful. They also have small events throughout the year for fun including hot dogs, pizza, small gifts for a holiday, etc.
The dog park is great! Everyone is very respectful of each other and make sure every kind of dog has the opportunity to use it. There is also a water bowl out there, lounge chair, and an umbrella during the summer time.
I have to admit I haven't used the gym as much as I would like, but it is never jam packed and has enough equipment for people to use during the day. There's also a lounge area where you can sit and watch tv, work, play ping-pong, and there are vending machines available for a late night candy bar.
All packages are delivered to the package room where you can also store your bike. I have never lost a package and there is a dolly available for any of the large parcels.
This complex is always kept extremely clean and the cleaning staff are great. Everything is so welcoming here and it's always nice to see your neighbors. There are also a bunch of pets and we love them all!

I moved in December 15th of last year and there have been three managers part time in the office since, none of which ever seem to physically be here. The general attitude seems to favor dogs over people. If you are a musician, don't even think about living here. Even at reasonable levels, listening to music here is in violation of other's reasonable enjoyment of the premises while obviously no one carea about yours. Two noise complaints in 30 days, (one of which I wasn't even home for) renders... me now homeless. The autoclosing doors slam during all hours of the day, the weight room needs regular cleaning.

I absolutely LOVE living at The Rochester! The apartments are really nice and I love the exposed brick in the hallways as well as the high ceilings. I have had nothing but good experiences here with neighbors! And our property manager Maria is the BEST!! She is so quick to respond to emails and questions! The amenities are really nice too! The workout room is small but it's still nice to have one. The only issue that I have occasionally is parking since we don't have designated parking. ... HOWEVER, it is merely a small connivance and is only an issue during the CWS (but we have a back parking lot which comes in handy!). Another great part of living here is the proximity of the building. We are in walking distance from coffee shops, restaurants, bars, and shops. I am a student at Creighton University and also appreciate how close it is to campus! Overall, I would HIGHLY recommend The Rochester to anyone! I have had such a great experience here!

I moved to Omaha to attend grad school at Creighton and I love being so close to campus! The building is really unique in that it used to be an old warehouse and there are still a lot of the original structures in the building. I have a sliding barndoor in my apartment and a huge kitchen that I love! The walls are fairly thin so I can often times hear my neighbors conversations, but other than that the Rochester is great. Management is wonderful and always so helpful. Rent is decently priced,... but one of the cheapest, yet livable places in town. You are close to many entertainment facilities and resturants which I am able to walk to all of the time which is nice so I do not have to look for parking. I have already extended my lease once and intend to live here until I am done with school in 2020.

Property Manager at The Rochester Apartments responded to this review
We are so sorry to see a 1-star review. Rochester has always had a part-time manager due to the size of the property, but you are correct there have been 3 part-time managers since you moved in. 1 of those 3 managers was our "fill-in" manager while... we searched for our new permanent manager. The gym is professionally cleaned 3 times a week. I do not show you have ever contacted us about the cleanliness of the gym. I apologize for the doors, they are on auto closures to ensure the property remains secure. In looking through your file it appears that there have been several times that police and property security have been called to your apartment. We have received multiple noise complaints from several different neighbors on you. It also appears that the Humane Society removed your dogs and they were not returned to you back in April. So you are correct. Anyone that violates the lease agreement will be evicted and we will protect the rights of our other residents in the building.
