Renter's beware. I will not be renewing my lease when the time comes to move out of this apartment. Pool, club and amenities are nice, but it does not make up for the lack of professionalism, incompetence, and disorganization from the leasing office and the overall staff at X Phoenix. The staff in the leasing office misinterpret fair housing regulations in order to force tenants into apartments without choosing their roommates. I ran into an issue with my apartment and was forced to stay... somewhere else for several weeks in the interim until a single apartment was ready. Additionally the leasing office staff was rude, refused to work with me and made my move out to Phoenix hell. I do not recommend moving to this complex. I would suggest looking at other apartments in downtown Phoenix before considering here.

Construction feel like it’s 24/7. They start construction sometimes at 1am - 12 pm during week days. The noise is so loud it’s impossible to sleep. The building is poorly managed. New units often have mold and they occasionally open random units to make people do their laundry in. The staff is extremely rude and tends to close off space to allow only select residents in. The Super Bowl weekend was a disaster and the staff closed the pool to host their own private party.

The Good:
Staff is friendly
The gym facilities are top-notch
They work hard to put on a lot of events
The Bad:
You will need to suffer through at least 7 nights of bad sleep per month due to noise. Every weekend Cresent Ballroom is loud enough that even on the 14th Floor and half a block away, with airpods and a noise machine on I cannot escape the sound. You will have to deal with this until 2am. This problem will be even worse for the complex when their Phase 2 is complete and 100 new... apartments are immeidately adjacent to Cresent Ballroom.
If it's not Cresent Ballroom it will be construction of their Phase 2 keeping you awake or waking you up at 6am. The staff tries to give you notice but instead they should be putting you up in a hotel room because it is wild they are allowed to do the overnight construction they perform so close to residences.
Many of the residents are also the type that see no issue with blaring their music so loud that it can be heard several rooms away.
I would love to leave this apartment as soon as possible. Prior to leasing these noise issues should have been disclosed, they of course know about them. I would love to give this apartment 5-stars for the things it does well but if I can't get a good nights sleep 25% of the time then it's an obvious 0-star. Would leave in a heartbeat.

To start off, they make the leasing process incredibly easy. Aside from phone calls or emails, they also communicate with you via text. It almost felt like I was texting one of my best friends for a while. Very quick to respond and work to get me answers when I needed them. The whole process is done electronically as well, so if your schedule is super busy, you don't have to go in person to sign anything. This is also the first community I've been in that doesn't screen based on income either.... It's so obnoxious to me to feel like I need to make almost $7 or $8k a month to afford like a $1,400 apartment. I was told I came back as approved with conditions and they had a few options for me to go with and all was fine with me! They were great in following up with me after my lease was signed, and the welcome I got on my move-in day was awesome.
The X Club is incredible. I can definitely tell a lot of thought and effort went into designing the building and the community, and what they strive for is so great because most places I've lived at have a clubhouse or a small little fitness center, but this place feels so much more open. You get free access as a resident to daily fitness classes, you have private conference rooms you can use, they've been doing NFL watch parties on Sundays with different food provided each week, there's a public bar and restaurant coming soon. I could go on but you get the idea lol.
The staff is great. They make you feel incredibly valued, respected, and understood, even when I sometimes get an answer that I don't entirely like I can still tell that they care. You have a free app you use that is your key to the apartment, and you can message the staff through the app, so you don't have to constantly call or email them. The utilities are set up in advance for you so you can save some extra money. I LOVE having an in-unit washer and dryer.
This is definitely not what would be considered your typical apartment community. It's a new product that some people out there may not entirely grasp, which is understandable. That said, if you do have kids, the club is awesome, but it's definitely geared towards a more adult crowd, so I get why it's a kids-free zone. You can still have kids with you in your apartment though. They are also building a new phase of the community, so there's been some construction noise, but granted you're also living downtown, so there's gonna be some noise either way lol.
Overall, would recommend!

This place has so much potential to be great, but right now, it's very messy. I've lived here for 4 months, and this is my honest take.
Pros:
- I've lived in one of the coliving units and have met some great people that way and had some really fun experiences.
- The apartment and amenities are gorgeous -- the units themselves, the coworking space, and gym are all top-notch.
- Convenience. Some have mentioned that the app can be buggy. I personally use the keycard they give us instead of the app... , and that works every time.
Cons:
- This is worth disqualifying X Phoenix from your apartment search: They are constructing a new building on the south side of the complex. If you live on the south side of the apartment, you will hear the noise and it is LOUD. Make no mistake -- this renders all the pros null. If you can't get a solid night's sleep, it doesn't matter how great everything else is. They've moved residents to the other side of the building to avoid the noise, but you have to consider what sort of company won't halt construction that interferes with residents' sleep. That should speak volumes -- I'm talking construction noise from 5am - 5:30pm, Monday - Saturday. No joke. They have an extended hours permit for construction, which is for concrete pouring, but they only pour concrete 4 times per month.
- I was expecting the vibe here to be more grown-up and professional. In all, people here can be friendly, but it's a step above a college dorm in terms of the culture. If the vibe here were more mature and less try-hard, it would be absolutely amazing!
- The coworking space is gorgeous, but good luck getting work done here. There are some loud groups that gather down here most days and the entire time they're here. There's nothing wrong with friendly conversation, in fact, it's a great thing! It's part of why I moved here. But this is talking-all-day conversation. Just a generally unprofessional vibe.
Read around, do your research, and make sure you consider the construction noise before you make a decision about moving here. The team here is friendly, but keep in mind that they are not the ones making the decisions -- I feel for them because it seems like their hands are often tied. The team deciding to do construction 12 hours a day, 5 days a week is the one making decisions. That's important to keep in mind when touring.
